This past November, we entered a few in our stallions in our (and their) first show ever. The show was the Aherne Marwin Stallion Show which was hosted by Rotherford Farms Estate. We entered our new Belgian Warmblood stallion RFE Songbird, our Arabian stallion SER/AP Shihab Al Din and our Irish Sport Horse stallion AP Rumored Nights. While sadly our sport horse stallion didn’t place in the top of his class, both Shihab and Songbird did really well in theirs and we had a lot of fun along the way. Our stallions are only young yet so hopefully they will have many more successes ahead.

RFE Songbird - Aherne Marwin Show
RFE Songbird took 2nd in the Young Foundation class, earning himself a well-deserved 4 points. We are very pleased with his efforts and the great start to his show career. We are hoping to start him in some show jumping classes soon and so hopefully he will do as well in them, if not better. We will definitely be looking at entering Songbird in the next Stallion Show.

SER/AP Shihab Al Din - Aherne Marwin Show
SER/AP Shihab Al Din also took 2nd in his class, the Young Pedigree class. Earning a great 4 points for himself, Shihab has made us very proud. We are so pleased to see the gangly young weanling that arrived here with us back in September become such a handsome, proud stallion and to do so well in his first show. Hopefully he too will do as well and better in his future endeavors.

AP Rumored Nights - Aherne Marwin Show
AP Rumored Nights, as we said, sadly didn’t place in the top of his class. He came home with an 11th placing in the Adult Foundation class. Though the class was a fairly large one (25 entries) so he still did rather well. I think this stallion just wasn’t as suited to the Halter ring, I’m sure he will have more success in another ring. We are certainly looking forward to showing him in another discipline as soon the chance arises.
